  • Billy tells Everybody Everything

    W.T. Sutherland

    language (W,T.Sutherland, Nov. 2, 2012)
The autobiography of W.T. (Bill) Sutherland.I am a retired jeweller, but also an alcoholic and a long-time member of Alcoholics Anonymous. It was written as the result of an old friend who commented on the fact that I had quite a good memory of the war and other events of that period. A lot of people are interested in what happened during the last war, and the years after. Of course this is a personal journey but I think that the progress of the illness of alcoholism which became more evident to me as I wrote my story will be of interest and help to those who suffer from this taboo illness. I did not want to admit I was an alcoholic because I thought it would be like having a tattoo on my forehead, in fact most people could not care less. As the result of becoming sober I was able in to become a better husband and father and in time to open my own business. Without sobriety I would be dead.
